You Can Make a Difference!

NCSTF is funded solely through donations, nest adoptions, and limited merchandise sales. Funds are primarily used to purchase supplies for staking and protecting nests, and to maintain and run the golf cart that we use to patrol the beach. Please donate today so we can continue our work!

Adopt a Nest

Adopt-a-Nest supports the efforts of the North Captiva Sea Turtle Foundation. All donations go towards material for marking turtle nests, maintaining our 4WD electric turtle vehicle, and other foundation expenses. Giving an adoption as a gift is very special. Consider birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, or other special occasions.

How Do I Adopt?

Please download our Adopt-a-Nest form, fill it out and return it to us at northcapseaturtle@gmail.com. If it is a gift, make sure to include the name and email of the recipient where the staked nest photo and info will be sent, as well as ages for any children or other special requests.

What is the Cost?

A donation of $100 per nest is requested. You can mail a check payable to NCSTF at 2602 Dora Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901 and note it is for Adopt-a-Nest, or you may donate via PayPal or via Venmo. General donations are also appreciated!

Once your nest has been staked and marked, we will text you a photo with GPS so you can locate your nest on Google Earth, and we’ll follow up with the hatching date and results.

Donate

No amount is too small! We accept donations via checks payable to NCSTF, or online via PayPal or Venmo.

Volunteer

NCSTF is 100% volunteer driven. We are so grateful for everyone who gives their time and talents to help protect marine turtles!

If you’d like to join our efforts, here are some areas in which your assistance would be valuable:

  • Turtle Monitor (requires a class every 2 years, in person or online): mark and monitor nests, evaluate nests and count hatchlings
  • Beach Cleaner: remove debris and trash to help ensure nest and hatchling success
  • Volunteer Coordinator: determine where and how volunteers might best be used
  • Photography and/or videography: take great photos and videos of NCSTF activities
  • Administrative help: organize materials for events, respond to inquiries, maintain stats and files

Contact us at northcapseaturtle@gmail.com to learn how you can help!

Online Store

You can purchase merchandise printed with the NCSTF logo from Bonfire.com. You can also purchase Cool 50 long-sleeved shirts. These purchases show your dedication to protecting marine turtles and help support NCSTF.

To be a part of something bigger, to support those who selflessly work to protect our precious sea turtles, is a rare privilege. Thank you, NCSTF!
